South Louisiana AHEC Scholars can’t stop thinking about community health

South Louisiana AHEC Scholars are part of a national network of AHEC Scholars programs that aim to equip an inter-professional workforce to practice community-based primary care in rural and underserved areas. AHEC Scholars is a two year program that involves both experiential and classroom learning.

AHEC Scholars are students from a broad range of health profession training programs committed to getting the skills they need to serve those who need it most.
